Family-run farm

The Gemassenhof has been owned by the Telser family since 1926. It has always been natural for the whole family to take part in the work of the farm, to support each other in difficult moments and to live the most beautiful moments together. We are particularly proud of the award of the 2013 Mountain Farmers' Prize, which is awarded in South Tyrol every year to three mountain farming families. The Gemassen farm is managed by the fourth generation with passion and enthusiasm.

I am Stefan, the young farmer, and took over the company from my parents Rita and Wolfgang in April 2017, I run it together with my partner Veronika.
I am responsible for all manual work on the farm and I take care of the animals. With my basic course in agritourism holidays, I manage the holiday apartments together with Veronika. Since the beginning of our relationship, Veronika has spent a lot of time at Gemassenhof. In 2017 Hannes and in 2020 Julian, our sons made happiness perfect and are already keeping the entire farm busy.

Grandma Rita and Grandpa Wolfgang continue to support us actively in the management of the farm and help us with advice and facts. Nature-loving guests who want to learn more about game and the forest can ask Wolfgang. Rita's passions are the large vegetable garden of the farm and the beautiful flowers that surround it. She often spoils the whole family with her culinary skills.

All family members actively help in the various works of the farm. Without them, it would not be so easy to tackle all the work - both on the ground and in other farm activities. Helping each other has become in all these years a matter of family.
